About Us

We started this business in 2017 from a small 2 car garage with only a jigsaw and a pair of old saw-horses.

About Us

Meet Brandon and Kristen

Maddux Woodworks started with two people who love creating things, building things, and doing things the right way.

We’re Brandon and Kristen - a husband and wife who get to work side by side turning raw lumber into pieces we hope become a part of your home for years to come.

Brandon is an electrician by trade, but his background in manufacturing has given him a strong understanding of how things are built, how they work, and what it takes to build them well. He has a remarkable attention to detail and takes pride in making sure every part of a piece is solid, precise, and built to last.

Kristen is an X-ray technologist by profession, but creativity has always been a big part of her life. She brings an artistic eye to the process, especially when it comes to design, color, stain, paint, and the finishing touches that bring a piece to life. She’s right there with Brandon through every step - from breaking down lumber and building to sanding, finishing, and putting it all together.

And while we each bring different strengths to the shop, that's what makes working together so much fun.

There’s something special about starting with a stack of rough lumber and ending with something completely unique. We enjoy the entire process, but our favorite part is seeing the finished piece in its new home and knowing we had a hand in creating something that will hopefully be enjoyed for many years to come.

We’re not a big furniture company. We’re a husband-and-wife team who genuinely care about what we build and the people we build it for.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to build furniture that is made to last and meant to be lived with.

At Maddux Woodworks, we believe good furniture should be more than something that fills a space. It should be something you’re proud to have in your home, something that becomes part of your family’s story, and something that can be enjoyed for generations.

We’re committed to creating each piece by hand, using quality materials, thoughtful craftsmanship, and attention to the details that make a piece truly unique. From the first cut of wood to the final finish, we take pride in doing things the right way—not the fastest way.

Our goal is to create heirloom-quality furniture that feels just as special years from now as it did the day it came home.
